Faith did not plan her wedding around trends.
She planned it around people.
From our very first conversations, she kept coming back to one thing. She wanted the children in her life to feel special. Not just included, but truly celebrated. And on February 21st, 2026, at Silver Springs State Park, that is exactly what happened.
With about 100 of their closest family members, friends, and church community gathered under the Florida sky, Faith and Matthew promised forever in a ceremony deeply rooted in faith, family, and intention.
Faith is not just one of my brides. She is the photographer at our church. I first met her years ago while we were both photographing foster children at Royal Kids Camp. Loving on kids through her camera lens the same way she does every Sunday; and while I never knew Matthew before Faith, I did know his mom and dad and they also share the same love for serving at camp so I can’t wait to see them together this year as the power couple they will be. All this to say, this was not just another wedding for me. This was someone we see weekly. Someone who serves faithfully. Someone who loves big.
As a Florida wedding photographer, getting to document the wedding of someone who also documents so many others was incredibly special.
A Groom in Tears and a Sacred Outdoor Ceremony
If you are considering a Silver Springs State Park wedding in Ocala, Florida, you already know how naturally beautiful it is. The towering oaks, the soft February light, and the historic charm create a setting that does not need much added to it.
But what made this ceremony unforgettable had nothing to do with the scenery.
It was Matthew.
The moment Faith began walking down the aisle, he completely broke down in tears. Real, unfiltered, cannot-hold-it-back tears. The kind that come from deep gratitude and overwhelming love. Watching him see his bride for the first time is one of those moments I will never forget. There is something so powerful about a groom who is not afraid to feel the weight of that moment.
Faith walked toward him surrounded by classic brown, white, and green details that blended beautifully with the natural Florida landscape. Everything felt timeless and effortless.
During the ceremony, they chose to take communion together. It was quiet and reverent. A sacred pause as they centered their marriage on Christ before anything else.
For couples planning a Christian outdoor wedding in Ocala, this is what makes a ceremony truly meaningful. Not just the location, but the foundation.
A Reception That Felt Like Home
After the ceremony, guests gathered on the open balcony of the mansion for a reception that felt less like an event and more like a family celebration.
Most of the vendors were church family.

When your vendor team is also your church family, the atmosphere shifts. It feels relaxed, joyful, and full of people who genuinely love you.
The Sweetest Surprise on the Dance Floor
After the traditional first dances; Faith then did something that perfectly reflects her heart.
She invited her niece to the dance floor for a surprise daddy daughter dance of her own.
The pride on Evie’s face could have lit up the entire balcony. It was not staged. Nor was it not done for attention. It was simply Faith wanting her niece to feel seen and important on her special day.
If you know Faith, you know that is exactly who she is.
Honoring Her Mom Instead of Tossing the Bouquet
Instead of a bouquet toss, Faith chose to honor her mom.
She gathered everyone’s attention and gave a speech dedicated to her, thanking her and acknowledging the role she played in shaping the woman she is today. There was not a dry eye anywhere.
It was one of those moments where you could feel generations connecting in real time.
Disney Music and a Wedding Where Kids Were Celebrated
Throughout the reception, Disney movie soundtracks played for the kids. Nieces, nephews, and all the honorary bonus kids who are basically family filled the dance floor.
They danced nonstop. Twirled across the balcony. Sang every word.
Faith made it clear that capturing them mattered. She wanted them to look back one day and remember that they were not just guests at her wedding. They were part of it.
As a Florida wedding photographer serving Ocala, I pay attention to those moments just as much as the first kiss. The sticky fingers. The spinning dresses. The cousin hugs.
Those are the photos that grow more valuable with time.

A Personal Note to Faith and Matthew
Faith and Matthew, this was not just another wedding on our calendar.
Shuli and I do not just photograph you and move on. We see you every Sunday at church, worship beside you, and witness the way you faithfully serve. You are not just clients to us. You are part of our church family.
Getting to stand behind a camera on your wedding day felt like watching two friends step into a new season of their lives.
We are praying over your marriage. We are praying that it stays rooted in Christ, that your home is always filled with laughter and probably Disney music, and that you never lose the tenderness you showed each other at that altar. Matthew, never stop tearing up when you see your bride. And Faith, never stop making everyone around you feel seen.
We love you both, and it was an honor to document the beginning of this chapter for you. <3
